“Messily human and sincerely insightful.” —Kirkus Reviews (starred review)

The highly anticipated sequel to the critically acclaimed, multiple award-winning novel Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe is an “emotional roller coaster” (School Library Journal, starred review) sure to captivate fans of Adam Silvera and Mary H.K. Choi.

In Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe, two boys in a border town fell in love. Now, they must discover what it means to stay in love and build a relationship in a world that seems to challenge their very existence.

Ari has spent all of high school burying who he really is, staying silent and invisible. He expected his senior year to be the same. But something in him cracked open when he fell in love with Dante, and he can’t go back. Suddenly he finds himself reaching out to new friends, standing up to bullies of all kinds, and making his voice heard. And, always, there is Dante, dreamy, witty Dante, who can get on Ari’s nerves and fill him with desire all at once.

The boys are determined to forge a path for themselves in a world that doesn’t understand them. But when Ari is faced with a shocking loss, he’ll have to fight like never before to create a life that is truthfully, joyfully his own.

art that makes you wish for a better reality

Why is a 60-year-old straight cis male preacher begin reading an LGBTQ teen romance novel? because I trusted the friend who recommended it. Why did I finish it? because it's so artfully accomplishes what I believe the author's goal must have been: to paint a portrait of lives. so winsome, as to overpower our cynical depictions of others. My deepest appreciation to both the author and performer!

Ari and Dante read by Lin Manuel Miranda!

My only complaint is I wanted an Epilogue. (Better yet would be another book.) To see the life Ari and Dante make for themselves. Because in my mind they're still happily together all these years later.

Excellent!

It's a great coming-of-age stories, one of my favorite genres. The couple is gay if that matters to you, but it's really a gripping, yet slowly developing story.

Love against all odds

This sequel holds up to the initial book and makes one contemplative while making you laugh, cry, and experience anger of the the ignorance of the 80s.

A Great Sequel

I love this book. A very great sequel that wraps everything up and answers questions left from the first book. I don’t particularly think that there needed to be a sequel, so I was worried when I started reading it because I wasn’t sure what the conflict/resolution would be, but this book turned out to be a great sequel. I loved the character development and the flow of the story, and I’m glad that the sequel didn’t see a character regression like some times happens in sequels when there isn’t much left to be said. This is absolutely one of my favourite books of all time now.

I am speechless! What a great conclusion

I am eternally grateful to Mr. Saenz and Mr Miranda. These characters and their stories will forever have an impact on me! I’m in tears as I write this review. I felt their hard ache, pain, triumphs, tragedies and most importantly their love. I will truly miss them but all good things must come to an end.

Emotions have me in tears

Such a beautiful story. I enjoyed every bit of it. Tears for days, I reflected on how Ari’s life as a young adult was to mine so similar. it ignited a light within me.
